At Westmoor we recognise the contribution that PE and sport makes to the health and wellbeing of children. We believe that a broad and balanced PE curriculum with a range of extra-curricular activities and access to competitive sport can have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and achievement of all our children.

 

As of September 2013 schools have received additional funding to improve the provision of PE and Sport within the school. This funding is ring-fenced and therefore schools will be held accountable for how it is spent.

 

The government has provided funding for academic years 2013 through to 2021 and funding is calculated depending on the number of children on the school roll. Following on from previous years, Westmoor Primary School has been given £18,640 funding to enhance the provision of PE and School sport for all of our children
